The Wolves vs. Man City match ended in a 3-0 victory for the defending champions, with goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland.
Grealish opened the scoring after just 55 seconds, latching onto a cross from Kevin De Bruyne to give City the lead. Haaland then doubled the lead in the second half, tapping in from close range after a neat passing move.
The victory takes City back to the top of the Premier League table, ahead of their rivals Manchester United on goal difference. Guardiola will be pleased with his side’s performance, particularly after they were disappointing in their midweek Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund.
Wolves will be disappointed with the result, but they will take heart from their performance levels. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side put up a good fight, but they were ultimately undone by two pieces of individual brilliance.
Wolves vs. Man City was always going to be an intriguing match-up, and it didn’t disappoint. Grealish and Haaland both showed why they are two of the most talented players in the Premier League, and City took another step towards reclaiming the title.

Grealish takes cue from Sterling to answer critics
Pep Guardiola’s faith in Jack Grealish was repaid as the winger scored the opener in Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Wolves.
Grealish has come in for criticism at times this season, with his return of three goals and three assists from 27 Premier League games falling short of expectations.
But he took his chance against Wolves, latching onto a pass from Ilkay Gundogan before slotting past Rui Patricio in the Wolves goal.
It was a superb finish, and one that will do Grealish’s confidence a world of good. He will hope to build on this performance in the coming weeks and prove his critics wrong.
