The British changed the name ‘Bharat’ to India. Under Article 1, the Constitution says: ‘Bharat, that is Bharat’. Our country has been known as ‘Bharat’ for thousands of years… This is the ancient name of this country and is found in ancient Sanskrit texts.
Sources of Times Now have reported that the country’s name will be changed to ‘Bharat’ instead of the name India in Parliament led by Narendra Modi from September 18 to 22.
Is the proposition true? Not only BJP leaders but also Congress leader Jairam Ramesh confirmed it. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has confirmed that the invitation letter for the G20 dinner has been sent from the Indian President’s office. Instead of ‘Parliament of India’, it was sent as ‘Parliament of Bharat’.
Besides, its authenticity is being judged through the tweets of some leaders. So the news is indeed true. The Indian Parliament has sent an invitation for the September 9 G20 dinner under the name of the ‘President of Bharat’ instead of the ‘President of India’.
Jairam Ramesh tweeted – Rashtrapati Bhawan has sent out an invite for a G20 dinner on Sept 9th in the name of ‘President of Bharat’ instead of the usual ‘President of India’.
Now, Article 1 in the Constitution can read: “Bharat, that was India, shall be a Union of States.”
Other BJP leaders are coming forward to change the name of the country and the Chief Minister of Assam is also with them – BJP leader Hemant Biswa Sharma came out in support of the country’s name ‘Bharat’.
Not only Jairam Ramesh, but Hemant Biswa Sharma also tweeted his support for ‘Bharat’. He tweeted – “Happy and proud that our civilization is marching ahead boldly towards AMRIT KAAL”.
Also accompanied is Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who posted a picture of the invitation letter for the G20 dinner party to show his support for ‘Bharat’. In the picture that he shared, we can see that the name Bharat is going to be replaced by the name India in the parliament.
For ages, the name of our country is Bharat, regardless of the language, but there has been a controversy over the name change of this India. The Union Minister has said that some Congress leaders have created controversy over the word ‘Bharat’. Along with the Congress leaders, the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal are against the BJP, i.e. against the name of ‘Bharat’.
Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party are doing various lashes against the BJP and said, is this a joke? A video of Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal’s controversial interview has surfaced in which he says: If an alliance of some parties becomes India, would they change the name of the country? The country belongs to 140 crore people, not to a party. Let’s assume if the India alliance renames itself as Bharat, would they rename Bharat as BJP then?
Ignoring so many opposition parties, can the Indian Parliament, Narendra Modi, remove the name ‘India’ and name the country ‘Bharat’?
The G-20 by India is scheduled to be held from September 9 to 11 where events related to some of the prestigious events will be discussed.
