Dengue is a deadly disease. The Department of Health and various disease research centers have attributed dengue to different types of Aedes mosquitoes.  Dengue is a very serious disease that can cause death due to the bite of Aedes mosquitoes.

The number of dengue cases in Kolkata crossed four thousand by the morning of September 28, according to the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The health center is concerned that this sensational case could be more serious.

There have been many deaths so far, with a high proportion of young children. Dengue cases are on the rise across the state with districts like Howrah, Nadia Murshidabad, and North 24 Parganas reportedly recording the highest number of cases.

On the other hand, the chief secretary of Bengal said that it is possible that dengue can be brought under control within two weeks.

Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim said that we are taking measures to prevent dengue.  Otherwise, it could be an epidemic situation.

The reported cases of dengue in 2023 are more than 4000 which is two and a half times more than the previous two years. The outbreak of dengue has decreased somewhat due to the corona epidemic but the virus is increasing rapidly as people return to normal life.
